Ball State’s baseball team is a Division I NCAA baseball program that competes in the Mid-American Conference (MAC). The MAC is a competitive conference that includes other universities from the Midwest region. Ball State has made it to Four different NCAA tournaments in school history. While having 16 total championships: 5 MAC Regular Seasons, 9 MAC West Division, and 2 MAC tournaments. Ball State is ranking 2 behind Kent State. With a record of 19-11 in the MAC and 36- 21 overall going into the 2023 season. The team plays its home games at Ball Diamond at First Merchants Ballpark Complex, which is located on the university's campus by the football field. Many of the past players from Ball State baseball have gone on to be drafted into the MLB by teams like the Chicago White Sox, New York Yankees, Houston Astros, Los Angeles Dodgers, and many more MLB Teams. Most notably Bryan Bullington was drafted to the Pittsburgh Pirates in 2002 as the first round first pick after playing baseball for Ball State as a pitcher. Bullington is the only first-round first pick of the draft to ever come out of Ball State in the program's history.

The average activity and routine of a college baseball team like the Ball State University baseball team can change upon a particular program, training staff, and season.
